Netflix Hints At Stranger Things Spinoff Focusing On Millie Bobby Brown’s Character

Fans may see more of Millie Bobby Brown's Eleven.

Stranger Things Season 4 is getting closer. Fans are anticipating what comes next for our young team of supernatural-solving characters and how the latest chapter of the hit Netflix series comes together. A series final season is in sights according to some reports, but some can still say there’s still a lot of story unexplored for more Stranger Things to happen. During Code Conference 2021, Netflix executive Ted Sarandos spoke about the show’s success and also hinted at potential spinoffs.

Stranger Things Spinoffs Are Possible

Franchises are good, but what you want are hits,” Sarandos explained, before referring to the Stranger Things series as “a franchise being born.”

According to Deadline, there’s a chance for a spinoff focusing on Millie Bobby Brown’s character. And thanks to her existing deal with Netflix, the young actress has expressed her hopes for Eleven’s story to keep going. But it is unclear if Brown will come back as Eleven or just serve as a producer for the potential spinoff show.

“I hope she finds who she is, without a boy, a male influence in her life,” Brown said of Eleven in Season 4 in an interview with Elle Magazine. “There’s Mike and Papa and Hopper and all the boys really. Even without Max, she needs to find herself by herself. Everyone needs that moment in life to sit there and think, ‘Who am I as a person, who am I without everyone around me? How can I really love myself?’ I don’t know if she knows how to do that yet. So I would like an arc for Eleven to learn how to love herself and learn who she is, which is hard in the circumstances she’s in. I think that she needs a little self journey.”

Stranger Things fans have been left wondering how many seasons are left for the genre-bending show. The young actors are getting older and those in the cast and crew have indicated there’s already an ending.

“We’ve known the ending of the show for quite a while,” co-creator Matt Duffer shared with Deadline. “The honest truth is we didn’t know if we’d go beyond Season One, so we like the idea of Season One that it could function basically as its own standalone piece, like almost as a limited series. But it had the potential to go beyond that. And if it were to go beyond that, we had an idea of where it would go. Yeah, and we have an ending in mind. We don’t want to just keep churning it out.”
