Now that Spider-Man: No Way Home has given fans action-packed and emotional scenes along with plenty of nostalgic moments, let’s talk about the shocking mid and post-credits scenes.

    Spider-Man: No Way Home Spoilers

Spider-Man: No Way Home is climbing to be one of the top films of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It didn’t pull any punches when it brought back many familiar faces from past Spider-Man franchises. And to see all three Peter Parkers swinging and working together is out of this world. Or out of this multiverse to be more accurate. Once the audience saw Andrew Garfield (The Amazing Spider-Man, The Amazing Spider-Man 2) and Tobey Maguire (Spider-Man 1-3) come out of the portals, it was full on nostalgia, emotional moments, and jaw-dropping visuals from that point on. Let’s not forget Maguire’s and Garfield’s Spider-Man original music from their movies mixed in during the No Way Home climactic battle.

Spider-Man: No Way Home Mid-Credits Scene with Eddie Brock and Venom

Let’s move on to the No Way Home mid-credits scene with Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) sitting at a tiki bar asking questions about Peter Parker while pounding drinks. Last time fans saw Brock and Venom was in the Venom: Let There Carnage post-credits scene when both were teleported to Tom Holland’s universe. This time, Eddie is chatting with the bartender about all the past events in the MCU questioning the validity of a rich man flying around in an iron suit, a purple alien on a mission to wipe out half of all sentient life, and a green giant.

Eddie stands up and says he plans to find “this Peter Parker”, but then gets teleported back into his own universe as a result of Doctor Strange fixing the multiverse mishap he and Peter Parker caused. When Eddie disappears, the camera zooms in at a drop of black goo left on the barter. A piece of Venom’s symbiote was left behind.

This can mean Venom can technically exist in the MCU is some capacity though what that might be is unclear for now. Maybe there will be another Eddie Brock in the MCU played by another actor. An Eddie Brock that hates Peter Parker which gives fans that epic battle between Spider-man and Venom.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness Teaser

The second Spider-Man: No Way Home post-credits scene seems like a huge deal for the future Doctor Strange in the MCU and the multiverse. Marvel surprised fans with a teaser trailer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The Doctor Strange sequel will be directed by Sam Raimi who’s famous for his Evil Dead movies and, of course, all three Tobey Maguire Spider-Man movies.

Let’s break down the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness teaser:

Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) meets with Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) at an unknown location which presumably is the same place she made home following the WandaVision finale. At first, Wanda thought Strange was there to deal with her changing the realities of the people in Westview but Strange is actually asking for her help with magic spells involving branched timelines from the multiverse.

One fight scene shows a brief glimpse of a monster with tentacles. Perhaps the same monster we’ve seen in Marvel’s What If…? CNET suggests it could possibly be the sea monster Gargantos, a villain from Marvel Comics.

We see the return of Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor), the wizard who went rogue in the first Doctor Strange movie. He fights Strange in some sort of dimensional chamber. Mordo still seems angry over whatever he was resentful for in 2016’s Doctor Strange film.

Towards the final moments of the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness teaser, Mordo says, “I am sorry Stephen, I hope you understand the greatest threat to our universe is you.” From a portal and out of the shadow comes out Supreme Strange—an alternate timeline of Doctor Strange who’s become obsessed with power and could be the villain of the highly-anticipated sequel.

The Future of Tom Holland in the MCU

As for Tom Holland’s Peter Parker being “erased” from the memories of MCU characters, his future in the MCU is unknown though the Spider-Man: No Way Home star is set to reprise his role for three more Spidey films.
