The Thor: Love and Thunder official Twitter account revealed the new trailer will be premiering during the NBA Eastern Conference Finals on Monday. The first teaser was well received by fans but that didn’t stop them from commenting about not revealing Christian Bale’s character. Marvel Studios announced Bale as the villain of the fourth film in the Thor franchise. Bale will be playing Gorr the God Butcher. There hasn’t been a lot of details or promotional content regarding Bale aside from some toy merch. Perhaps, Monday’s new Thor: Love and Thunder trailer will give fans a glimpse of Bale’s Gorr.
Fans Concerned About Gorr the God Butcher’s Design
For those who have seen Gorr’s MCU design took it upon themselves to comment on social media. Jason Aaron, a Marvel creative who’s work is the DNA of Love and Thunder, threw in some thoughts about the matter in his Substack newsletter.
“We haven’t even gotten the first official look at the movie version of Gorr the God Butcher yet,” Aaron wrote. “I’ve seen some concerns online about Gorr’s design, based off glimpses of the character’s action figure. As the guy who co-created him, along with Esad, I’ll just say that it wasn’t Gorr’s nose (or lack thereof) that made him the tragic and deeply disturbed God Butcher that he was. Trust in the face of Christian Bale. Need I remind you, it’s a pretty g******* talented face.”
A lot of people actually think Aaron and Esad deserve some of that money for their work on Thor. He also created Gorr. When folks spoke up about the God Butcher not being comic book accurate, Aaron felt he needed to speak share his opinion.
