New The Suicide Squad Footage May Confirm R-rating For The DC Film

HBO Max released a new Same Day trailer this morning. A quick The Suicide Squad clip with John Cena’s Peacemaker character about to drop an F-bomb right before it cut to another clip casting away any doubt this DCEU film will have an R-rating.

The clip shows Robert DuBois/Bloodsport (Idris Elba) telling Christopher Smith/Peacemaker (John Cena), “No one likes a show-off.” Peacemaker responds by telling Bloodsport, “Unless what they’re showing off is dope as…”, which the clip gets cut right before an F-bomb.

The 2021 version will feature new characters like Michael Rooker’s Savant, Peter Capaldi’s Thinker, David Dastmalchian’s Polka-Dot Man and more.

It stars John Cena as Peacemaker, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag, Idris Elba as Bloodsport, Michael Rooker as Savant, Flula Borg as Javelin, David Dastmalchian as Polka-Dot Man, Daniela Melchior as Ratcatcher 2, Mayling NG as Mongal, Peter Capaldi as The Thinker, Alice Braga as Solsoria, Steve Agee as King Shark, Pete Davidson as Blackguard, Nathan Fillion as TDK, Sean Gunn as Weasel, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Taika Waititi and Storm Reid.
