Mission: Impossible Dead Reckoning – Part One just dropped its first official trailer one this morning. The Paramount Pictures film brings back Tom Cruise doing breath-taking stunts as Ethan Hawk. The trailer was released alongside the European premiere of Tom Cruise’s other block-buster film, Top Gun: Maverick over the weekend.

The trailer leaked on social media over the weekend but Paramount quickly acted on the situation and had taken down the videos that were posted. But like in most cases when a movie trailer is leaked, the official trailer arrived a day after. We’re still more than a year away from Mission: Impossible 7’s premiere.

Mission: Impossible Dead Reckoning – Part One is the seventh film in the M:I franchise. Joining Cruise on the latest IMF mission are veterans from previous films from the series including Rebecca Ferguson, Simon Pegg, and Ving Rhames. Vanessa Kirby also returns to reprise her role from Mission: Impossible Fallout. Henry Czerny returns as Kittridge who we haven’t seen since 1999’s Mission: Impossible.

Marvel stars Hayley Atwell (Captain America: The First Avenger) and Pom Klementieff (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2) along with Shea Whigham (American Hustle), Cary Elwes (The Princess Bride), and Mark Gatiss (Sherlock) join the cast of Dead Reckoning – Part One.

Mission: Impossible Dead Reckoning – Part One and Part Two are both written and directed by Christopher McQuarrie. He also directed Rogue Nation and Fallout in the series which were both well-received by critics and fans. McQuarrie also collaborated with Tom Cruise on Edge of Tomorrow and Jack Reacher.

In Fallout, Cruise did a halo jump which was one of his toughest stunts yet. He takes it to another level in Dead Reckoning – Part One by riding a motorcycle off a cliff and parachuting down a canyon. We can’t wait to see the death-defying action sequences Cruise has when Mission: Impossible Dead Reckoning – Part One hits theaters on July 14, 2023. For now, fans can see Cruise fly in F-18s this weekend in Top Gun: Maverick.
