It was a magical and heroic night for Marvel during the return of the MTV Movie and TV Awards last night. Marvel Studios’ original shows on Disney+, WandaVision and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, took home multiple awards including Best Show and Best Hero.

The 2021 MTV Movie and TV Awards were held Sunday, May 16th in the Hollywood Palladium. Two MCU heroes who debuted their shows on Disney+ and one villain dominated the award show.

    Dear Diary,

I can’t believe I captured this video of Kathryn Hahn & Elizabeth Olsen at the #MTVAwards.

    BEST. NIGHT. EVER.

WandaVision won the award for Best Show and Elizabeth Olsen also won best performance in a show for her portrayal of Wanda Maximoff. During her acceptance speech, the Marvel star said, “I’ve loved playing this part for seven years.” She continued to say,  “Really, nothing could’ve been better than to have ‘WandaVision.’ We had so much fun making it, and I hope we moved you. I hope we entertained you.”

WandaVision’s Kathryn Hahn got herself a popcorn trophy for best villain. She played Agatha Harkness, a witch who secretly manipulated Wanda for some time until she finally revealed herself. It was “Agatha all along.”

Wanda and Agatha had their epic witch battle during WandaVision’s series finale, which also won an MTV award for best fight.

All *I* know is that Elizabeth Olsen and Kathryn Hahn gave us everything & more with this Best Show acceptance speech. 👏

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier’s Anthony Mackie Wins Best Hero

Marvel star Anthony Mackie took home the best hero award for his portrayal of the MCU’s new Captain America on The Falcon and The Winter Soldier show on Disney+. The political thriller also won best duo for Sebastian Stan and Anthony Mackie’s buddy-cop style on-screen chemistry and performance.

    Scarlett Johansson Accepts Achievement Award

Another big Marvel star took home a MTV Movie and TV Award. ScarJo was awarded an achievement award for her body of work including the role of Black Widow in the Avengers films. Johansson was on hand virtually to accept the award.

Johansson said, “This award really belongs to many hundreds of creative people all over the world, and thank you so much to my fans for riding the wave with me and for supporting my career so I can continue to have the good fortune to pursue the job that is my passion.”

Congratulations to all our Marvel Studios stars for winning big at the MTV Movie and TV Awards! The MCU is on a roll with their phase 4 projects with the Loki series premiering in less than a month. We’ll see Elizabeth Olsen again in full Scarlet Witch form in Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness and Anthony Mackie will star in a fourth Captain America film. Fans are hoping for a Falcon and Winter Soldier season two.

Marvel’s WandaVision and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier are both streaming all episodes on Disney+.
